Ruth and David are well known in our area for being excellent realtors.  Many of our friends have raved about working with them. So they were an easy choice for us when we decided to sell our East Van duplex. But we were even more impressed with Ruth than we expected to be. We have worked with three realtors in the past 6 months and Ruth was by far and away the best, excelling at many different aspects of client service. On of her best qualities is patience. We started the process of selling without a clear vision of what or where we wanted to buy. She never tried to rush us or tell us what to do. She listened intently and asked us questions, which gradually helped us gain clarity on what we wanted. She was always available for us. Once we decided to list, Ruth connected us to a team of partners she works with, who really helped the stressful process of selling go very smoothly for us. From GlenHickey.com, the (free) design consultant who helped us make our home look its best, to Kireicleaning.ca who did the final cleaning, she recommended people who are pros. Most importantly, when it came to listing and accepting offers, Ruth made us feel she was protecting us as her clients. When it felt like the market was softening, she steadied our nerves. She always had our best interest at heart and it translated into multiple offers and a sale that we were ultimately very happy with. Willo helped us to find a house we love in our chosen area in literally a blink of eye. She is knowledgable, full of energy, personal, flexible and most importantly accommodating. The Ruth & David Group is probably the most active Real Estate Team in the Commercial Drive area. I have been impressed time upon time by their knowledge of the history and culture of the Commercial Drive area. They seem to know everyone and everyone seems to know them. Due to this when it came time choose a Real Estate Agent or Team to represent us our immediate first choice was The Ruth & David Group. Ruth and Corey came out to meet us, see our place, find out what our situation was, what we were looking to achieve and give us their assessment of what they could get for us. They were upfront and frank about everything, no over estimations of our house’s worth or promising the world to get our business. Just a calm, reasoned appraisal of our situation and suggestions tailored to our specific needs. When it came time to put our place on the market they were easy to work with and incredibly efficient. Everything was arranged in 1 week, photos and floor plans put online and they had already put the word out to clients they knew were waiting for a property like ours. Our property was on the market for only 1 week. From what I understand approximately 50 groups saw our house in 4 days of showings. An incredible amount of activity for just 7 days of being on the market. In the end we had 8 offers on the 8th day. This lead to us getting a final selling price that was 23% over asking. All the way through this Corey helped us with everything and Ruth and David were in the background giving us sage advice and reassuring words to help us get through the more stressful parts. Joy was managing all of the details and Willo was handling all of our last minute questions during the Closing Period. It was an amazing whirlwind experience and yet it never made us feel like we were over our heads. The Team was truly amazing. I cannot make it any more clear than they wowed us and calmed us all the while impressing us with their ability to make everything go so smoothly that we never saw them making all of the arrangements in the background. I will always recommend The Ruth & David Group to anyone looking for a Realtor who knows the ins and outs of the East Side of Vancouver. Thank you again for everything.

Willo was the perfect professional to help us buying our first apartment. She laid out all our options and carefully explained the costs and benefits of each. To All Potential Home Buyers,
My partner and I were both first time homebuyers, and recently purchased a new home with the help of Willo and her team. As first time home buyers we did not know what we were in for or how to start the whole process of buying a home. We did a LOT of research, and met a lot of real-estate agents while attempting to go at it alone. We realized quickly that we needed help. However, we found real-estate agents irritating and phony. Preamble: I have a black and white personality, limited time, and short patience. We finally came across The Ruth & David Group website and were impressed by what was conveyed – they seemed personable and experienced. Best decision we could have made!! Willo is a superhero in our eyes and in what seems to be saturated market of real-estate agents – we consider her a rare find.

1. She made us feel like we were her only clients – My partner is a business owner and knows this is no easy task. In fact he is still perplexed as to how Willo managed to do it. I cannot stress enough that this is the MOST IMPORTANT trait you are looking for in a real estate agent because you snooze you lose when it comes to the battle of the properties.
2. She listens – You tell Willo something once and she gets it.
3. She is efficient and timely – She was quick, almost immediate, in her responses to our emails, texts, or phone calls.
4. She is competitive – She strives to be the best in whatever she does and it shows. If we were interested in a property we had a viewing ASAP. We were always happy to have her at an open house with us because she dominated the floor.
5. She is knowledgeable – Sadly we went to many viewings where the listing agent knew nothing about the property they were selling or had their facts wrong. Willo was always on the ball, kept them on their toes, researched the property and the area extensively before we arrived, and asked questions we would have forgot to ask otherwise. Willo does not “wing it” – if she does not know the answer she owns up to it and finds out what the answer is. Willo’s honesty was always appreciated.
