Ruth and David are well known in our area for being excellent realtors.  Many of our friends have raved about working with them. It is hard to miss The Ruth & David Group in our neighbourhood in East Van as they have sold signs up on houses everywhere. We got to know Ruth, David and Corey as we went to open houses looking to move from a duplex to a larger single family home. We learned a lot about our local real estate market from them and eventually they found us the home we were looking for. They provided sage advice and guidance as we went through some challenging negotiations trying to purchase our new home and their marketing efforts resulted in multiple offers and an excellent price for our previous home. This was the most important (and at times stressful) transaction of our lives and throughout it all the team was attentive to our many questions and needs. We would recommend them without reservation.

Wow. I was so impressed with the amazing service and thrilled with the results the team provided in selling my condo. Having not gone through the process before Ruth was very patient in answering all of my questions, guiding me through the steps and working with me. Also, I was selling while out of town and she was terrific in running around and tracking down keys and getting documents to my tenant to sign. Selling when you have a tenant can be tricky but due to the professionalism there were no problems. My only regret was that I didn’t hire them when I bought the place originally. Highly recommend.

The Ruth & David Group is probably the most active Real Estate Team in the Commercial Drive area. I have been impressed time upon time by their knowledge of the history and culture of the Commercial Drive area. They seem to know everyone and everyone seems to know them. Due to this when it came time choose a Real Estate Agent or Team to represent us our immediate first choice was The Ruth & David Group. Ruth and Corey came out to meet us, see our place, find out what our situation was, what we were looking to achieve and give us their assessment of what they could get for us. They were upfront and frank about everything, no over estimations of our house’s worth or promising the world to get our business. Just a calm, reasoned appraisal of our situation and suggestions tailored to our specific needs. When it came time to put our place on the market they were easy to work with and incredibly efficient. Everything was arranged in 1 week, photos and floor plans put online and they had already put the word out to clients they knew were waiting for a property like ours. Our property was on the market for only 1 week. From what I understand approximately 50 groups saw our house in 4 days of showings. An incredible amount of activity for just 7 days of being on the market. In the end we had 8 offers on the 8th day. This lead to us getting a final selling price that was 23% over asking. All the way through this Corey helped us with everything and Ruth and David were in the background giving us sage advice and reassuring words to help us get through the more stressful parts. Joy was managing all of the details and Willo was handling all of our last minute questions during the Closing Period. It was an amazing whirlwind experience and yet it never made us feel like we were over our heads. The Team was truly amazing. My husband and I have nothing but good things to say about The Ruth & David Group. They have sold 2 of our properties now – one in 2010 and one this fall. The 2010 sale was in the Commercial Drive area and the 2015 sale was in Mount Pleasant. They are just excellent. Fast, effective and super nice. Awesome communicators with the personal touch. We signed an intent to sell on April 27, 2014 and the house was sold at $105, 000 over asking on the 12th of May. From intent to sale in such a short period of time with one evening “Sneaky Peek”‘ and one Sunday open house, Wow! The team really understood our house and who we are.
