My partner and I were both first time homebuyers, and recently purchased a new home with the help of Willo and her team. As first time home buyers we did not know what we were in for or how to start the whole process of buying a home. We did a LOT of research, and met a lot of real-estate agents while attempting to go at it alone. We realized quickly that we needed help. However, we found real-estate agents irritating and phony. Preamble: I have a black and white personality, limited time, and short patience. We finally came across The Ruth & David Group website and were impressed by what was conveyed – they seemed personable and experienced. Best decision we could have made!! Willo is a superhero in our eyes and in what seems to be saturated market of real-estate agents – we consider her a rare find.

I cannot stress enough that this is the MOST IMPORTANT trait you are looking for in a real estate agent because you snooze you lose when it comes to the battle of the properties.
2. She listens – You tell Willo something once and she gets it.
3. She is efficient and timely – She was quick, almost immediate, in her responses to our emails, texts, or phone calls.
4. She is competitive – She strives to be the best in whatever she does and it shows. If we were interested in a property we had a viewing ASAP. We were always happy to have her at an open house with us because she dominated the floor.
5. She is knowledgeable – Sadly we went to many viewings where the listing agent knew nothing about the property they were selling or had their facts wrong. Willo was always on the ball, kept them on their toes, researched the property and the area extensively before we arrived, and asked questions we would have forgot to ask otherwise. Willo does not “wing it” – if she does not know the answer she owns up to it and finds out what the answer is. Willo’s honesty was always appreciated.

It is hard to miss The Ruth & David Group in our neighbourhood in East Van as they have sold signs up on houses everywhere. We got to know Ruth, David and Corey as we went to open houses looking to move from a duplex to a larger single family home. We learned a lot about our local real estate market from them and eventually they found us the home we were looking for. Wow. I was so impressed with the amazing service and thrilled with the results the team provided in selling my condo. Having not gone through the process before Ruth was very patient in answering all of my questions, guiding me through the steps and working with me. Also, I was selling while out of town and she was terrific in running around and tracking down keys and getting documents to my tenant to sign. Selling when you have a tenant can be tricky but due to the professionalism there were no problems. My only regret was that I didn’t hire them when I bought the place originally. Highly recommend.

From what I understand approximately 50 groups saw our house in 4 days of showings. An incredible amount of activity for just 7 days of being on the market. In the end we had 8 offers on the 8th day. This lead to us getting a final selling price that was 23% over asking. All the way through this Corey helped us with everything and Ruth and David were in the background giving us sage advice and reassuring words to help us get through the more stressful parts.
