Detached houses in East Vancouver are at about 8 months supply. That is considered a balanced market for East Van. While East Van has, like much of Vancouver, seen unprecedented growth this year, 8 months supply of inventory is considerably higher than the 2.5-3.5 months supply we had for most of the year in 2016 and 2015. What does this mean for the East Van housing market? Well priced listings will still sell and likely within a short time frame; but for the ones not properly priced, they may linger on the market.
