Being the team mom of the Ruth and David Group, I am always thinking of my kids and their future. We enjoy living downtown with our family and have opted to modify our condo to fit our needs, rather then leave it behind for a more residential neighborhood. Many families are choosing condo life over a house and the pressure of the mortgage that comes along with it. The mentality of how we live in this city is beginning to shift towards a New York, London or Paris paradigm, where raising a family in a small flat is commonplace. I love taking my baby out to feed the ducks at Andy Livingstone Park, grabbing a coffee in Gastown, or strolling down to the West End for a whip around Stanley Park via Robson Street. The possibilities for family fun are endless while living in International Village. The demographic is totally mixed, so a wide array of people could find themselves at home here.

My husband and I are super excited that the new International Village School http://www.vsb.bc.ca/district-facilities/projects/international-village-elementary is opening just across the street from where we live on Abbott Street. The International Village school, soon to be renamed, will be an IB school (http://www.bcaibws.ca/), very sought after in Vancouver.  International Village school is in the area we call Crosstown. It’s such a convenient location for everything from going to movies at Tinseltown Cinemas in the International Village Mall, shopping at Costco, Nester’s and TNT – to leisurely walks on the seawall or cross-fit at some of the best gyms in town.
